stopped working
I purchased my 30gb 5th generation ipod in December 2006. Now, less than 2 years later, it stopped working. The problem is one known by apple where an electrical short develops that prevents the ipod from playing sound except when the device or the surrounding air is very cold. Sure, I can refrigerate my ipod and get about 1 hour of playtime, or exercise in a freezer, but otherwise it is non-functional. Many people have reported online that Apple has charged them for a replacement since they are now out of the warranty period. I would hope apple could build a product that can withstand normal use for > 2 years (only used for listening in car and at home sitting in speaker dock). And if they can't they should stand behind their product instead of trying to sell you a new one!

Don't buy from here
We ordered a refurbuished Ipod and when it came it froze up as soon as we loaded it. I emailed the seller a couple of times before I ever heard back from him during a one week period. I have sent the Ipod back for a refund and have still not received the refund after 3 weeks. I have emailed the seller again(since there is no phone number to contact him by) and he will not respond. I would never recommend buying anything from this seller. I would appreciate some help from someone in getting my refund.

Easy to steal and great for 300
Last week bought for 0 and stolen the next day. But also, really a nice thing that played lots of music easy. They broke out three of my car windows before setting it on fire. I'm here to buy a new IPOD anyway!

pretty good
this item is worth the price although the volume isn't a loud as the original I already have.

I hate I-pod
I bought this crap about 3 years ago, in this 3 years I waited for a moment to tag all my mp3's but I never find that time, then I find a folder browsing mp3 player and throw this junk out and I am glad that I did that.
So here is why I hate I-Pod
No folder browsing: You have to add tag on your every single old mp3's. there is some other mp3 player that they have this function for less, so you can see all the folders and mp3's like your your pc or mac. "No folder browsing" is very disturbing if you have mixed mp3's.
I-tunes is horrible: you have to use I-tunes to upload music, no drag and drop from drive to drive. I tunes is slow and useless. it is also making you pc slower even if you are not even using it.
File protection: if you upload your mp3's you can have them back to you pc or mac. With any folder browsing mp3 players you can do so.
No volume button: Yes Ipod looks cool but if you need to volume down quickly you have to wait 2 seconds, because volume button is also same as navigation. if you need instant mute you have to unplug your headphone.
and you look lame when you do that because you don't know where you are going to put the unplugged headphone jack.
Navigation button is too sensitive: if you are in the car, car is shaking so %50 of the time you are going to pick the wrong artist or song.
I had some moments that I was almost going to throw this junk out from the window.
Video is a joke: screen is too slow, forget about watching movies, you can watch just for 5 minutes then your eyes get crossed.
Where is the radio, sound recording? my new folder browing mp3 player has this function and works very good.
I don't want advertise what I have just search for folder browsing mp3 players, there is tons of them in the market.

Or use the built-in stopwatch to log your best times at the gym. And when it's finally time to play, the Extras menu lists all your games, including the ones you purchase from the iTunes Store.
What's in the Box
Apple 30 GB iPod with Video Playback, earphones, USB 2.0 cable, dock adapter, case, and quick start guide.

I Never Recevied My Purchase....even though i paid for it
I ordered my product and never received it. It has been almost a month. I would suggest using another seller. I email Lennox216(the person selling it) and i never got an email back. But Amazon is going to handle it.....

iPod Was Junk!
The product worked for 2 weeks and then got flakey. Shortly thereafter it stopped dead. iTunes couldn't restore it. Performing low-level hardware resets wouldn't restore it. The local Apple store said it was dead (AND THIS IS IMPORTANT) they said for the same price, they would have sold us a refurbished model with a 90 day warrant. So this was clearly not worth the money!

Bought this just before 6G was released. Wish I'd waited - short battery life
I purchased the 5.5G just a few weeks before the 6G version was announced by Apple. I was not happy. Just as I expected, the 5.5G's battery capacity is extremely limiting. It just doesn't last that long. The 6G classic has a lot longer battery life. Other than that, it's worked mostly as it should and is a breeze to use when downloading music from my Intel Mac.
It's my understanding that the 6G has, oddly enough, more restrictive video capabilities than the 5.5. Apple is probably trying to push people who want video to a more expensive model than the 6G classic. But since I don't use the video function at all, I strongly recommend the 6G unless you're on a really tight budget.
A new issue I've discovered with the 5.5G is when I have it connected via iPod cable to my car stereo it freezes up. This is a direct input to the stereo, not just an audio cable, so the stereo takes control. When I'm on shuffle mode the most songs I can through (this includes skipping a lot of songs) is about 250 before the iPod just freezes up. I'm not at all accustomed to having my Apple items behave like this. The stereo is a fairly expensive Alpine - maybe it's the problem and not the iPod. However, Alpine specifically set up their stereos to work with iPods so I don't know. I think it's just that the iPod can't handle shuffle mode when it has "too many" songs on it. Again, wished I'd bought the 6G.

5.5G ipod
The product is in good condition. fast shipping. but battery doesnt last as long as would have liked, but its understandable since it's used.

Great, Great Product
I bought mine over a year ago and the battery dosen't last as long as when I first got it. but it still works just fine. I got it because I liked the idea of taking your photos, videos, and entire music library around with you everywhere.
It looked pretty nice right out of the box and only took 5 minutes to fully charge the first time. I was told that it would take 5 hours to upload all my stuff onto it through USB and if I wanted to upload quickly my computer would need "Fire Wire". That was a complete lie. I was able to upload 365 songs and 50 something photos, as well as 6 or 7 videos in less than 10 minutes using good old USB. I still have no uploading problems even now with 1100 songs. Don't bother with Fire Wire.
I hate how it didn't come with a wall adapter. Instead of plugging it through the wall to charge you need to plug it into your computer. That is probably the stupidest way of charging something; it can damage the hard drive, it also wastes a ton of electricity (having your computer on), and you can't bring it on a long trip and expect to charge it unless you have a laptop computer. I realised this before hand and had to spend on a proper adapter that should have come with the iPod in the first place.
Video quality is great. Almost HI Definition(no lies). I don't bother watching movies on it because one movie basically drains the battery. It's good for music videos, TV shows and showing people your home videos though.
The headphones they give you are prety bad. You have to crank the volume more than halfway to hear the bass and other lower sounds. Not only does this damage your ears, but it also annoys the people standing around you when they can hear your music. Buy some good Sony/Bose noise reduction headphones and you will hear the difference in sound quality and you won't have to turn the volume up to high. Trust me your ears will thank you.
Aside form that, it is great for trips. I bought it just before I took a trip to Europe. It gave me stuff to do at night in the hotel rooms.
If you connect it to some speakers you got instant party music wherever you go.
Most people who don't have one, want one after seeing mine. It also has games that you can buy off of iTunes. It gives you three free ones that come on the iPod: Brick game, Solitair, Parachute. If you only occasinally play games, these are all you would ever need.
My battery life is starting to get less and less now. It started out as 5 hours of video watching, and 20 hours of music and now it's more like 3 hours of video and a little less than 20 hours of music. However, most people find that their battery dosen't even last this long.
A few tips on how to make your battery last longer:
Don't skip to the next songs using the left and right buttons on the click wheel. Always select songs directly from the menu, it may take longer but it will help your battery in the long run.
When watching videos or listening to music, keep it on the hold swith at the top of the iPod.
If your Ipod freezes or simply won't turn on; hold down the menu button and middle button until it starts up again.
If changing a battery becomes a problem, I will post an update when that time comes but for now, I really like this thing and I think everybody would be pleased with this model.

great product
i bought this for my husband and he loves it, he has loaded videos and movies and tons of music and has tons more room to go

ROB'S RAVE
This is one of the best inventions I could want. But it is kind of expensive.20,00 songs. And countless pictures...Sounds incredible in my New Honda Accord.
LOVE IT!
ROB

Not quite good enough.
I did a lot of research on MP3 players. The Ipod kept coming up at the top of the list. I wanted a player that I could listent to audiobooks on. I really thought I had purchase the right tool for this. I have heard for years that APPLE is super user friendly. It sure isn't in this case. I am very unhappy with this player. I wanted a player that I could listen to audio books on. Yes you can do this on this player but you can't or at least I haven't figured out how to load a book into a single folder. I have lots of audio books that I would love to put on this thing under their own name. The way it does it now is it list maybe 25 different disk. What a pain. Maybe I need to find a 15 year old to help me load this thing up. Apple sure doesn't have clear instruction on how to do it.

Excelente producto
Que les puedo decir de este excelente dispositivo que ya no hayan dicho, lo recomiendo 100%.

A Novice reviews IPod Classic 80G
Having never owned any type of instrument like this, I was pleased with the ease of use. However, I MADE MANY MISTAKES AT FIRST. IApple iPod classic 80 GB Black (6th Generation)iPod & iTunes For Dummies, 6th Edition + DVD (Side by Side Bundle Version) (For Dummies) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF IPOD FOR DUMMIES.

Nice buds for the price
These ear buds are very nice for their price. The multiple silicone inserts ensure a perfect fit. Sound quality was very good. My only gripe is that the silicone inserts seem a tad flimsy. Overall, for the low price, it's a good set. I also bought the JLabs Earbuds case to protect these JBuds. They are a great combo.

The best!!!
I work in a trading room with people talking very loud all the time, I use these to block the noise and listen to some music so that I can concentrate on my reading. I had tried everything...these are the best...REALLY!!!

Decent headphones for the money
I am not really blown away by these headphones, but I am not disappointed either. For the money they are a nice replacement for the stock iPhone headphones, but they don't do an effective job at minimizing outside noise.

No JKoss!
Oops! Read the WHOLE name before you buy! I saw the "J" and assumed I was buying a JKoss product... these are a far cry from that. They work OK but the sound quality is worse than the cheap Sony buds I bought from my college bookstore. It it weren't such trouble to return a product purchased online, I never would have kept these things.

A great value.
I have gone through many pairs of the the Sony MDR-ex type earbuds and inevitably the right ear bud would go out. The Sony's were costing me approx. bucks a pop. When the earbuds were not going out then the coating on the wires was disintegrating exposing the bare wire.
One day I was at a local chain drugstore and and saw the razor blades that I buy came with a free pair of earbuds. Since I refused to shell out any more money to Sony or anyone else for these delicate items I bought the blades to get the free earbuds. I was suprised that the sound was better than the Sony's and I even had to reduce the volume because they had a higher sound output. I review house music mixes on my minidisc player that I have done while walking around doing errands so the buds I use have to have decent bass output and these do. I did a little research and found out these were JBuds. I couldn't believe a free set of buds sounded better than the Sony's. Not only did they sound better they outlasted every set of Sony's I ever owned. In fact they lasted almost a year. The eventually gave up the ghost as the plastic on the wires became brittle and started to crack and then the wires broke at the connector jack.
I just bought a new pair from Amazon and I am very, very pleased. In fact I am listening to my music now as I type this review. Oh joy! They are comfortable and light.
One issue I have with them is that you have to separate the buds by pulling them apart to get the fit you want. This is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. I also wish that the wire was a bit more sturdy, but the last pair did last a long time. At the price they sell for I easily save money over buying Sony earbuds and I am not buying three pairs a year anymore.

Transcription set
I don;t make much use but our staff does use it and we purchased additional sets.

Fine product
I was able to use this pedal with .wav files downloaded from an Olympus recorder, no problem.
Pedal works fine, software is adequate.
I have transcribed approx 3 hours of recording so far.

Glad I went ahead and bought the Kit
I recently purchased the transcription kit, even in the face of advice to not do so, and I'm very pleased that I did. I use a Sony ICD-P110 digital voice recorder, with version 3 of the Digital Voice Editor software from Sony. I only bought the transcription kit because it was almost half price, as I was unsure about how well it would work.
I have not been disappointed. The only problem is that if you save the MSWord document you're working on, the digital recording is reset to start playing from zero again. I think the save comand is activated in both programmes. I simply note my expired playback time before saving the Word document. I have also been able to play back mp3 files.
I am however very pleased with the overall package.

Junk
This item is horrible. When transcribing you would often have to restart the whole thing if you stopped more than a few seconds, it would not hold your place in a given work product. Not only that, but Amazon charged me to restock the item. WARNING: DO NOT BUY!!!

iPod comes alive
I like the smart deck a lot. It is just as portable as the iPod, so it's ideal for travel or to just move around the house, take to work, or even play outside.

Great Sound for the price
Very nice sounds considering the price. The remote doesn't work from very far but it's still useful. The sound is loud enough to cover a large room.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!
This little docking station packs a whollop of sound into a little piece of equipment! What a great purchase - charges my iPod when I'm not listening, produces incredible (loud!) sound when I am, and I can carry it from room to room in my little apartment (not that I need to). I love this thing! If I have to critique anything about it, it would be that the remote control do more than turn your iPod on, off, increase/decrease volume, and fastforward/rewind to songs. But hey, I need the exercise so who cares that I have to manually change playlists?!?! Great purchase!!!

Amazing speakers
The JBL On Stage II Speaker and Docking Station for I pod has a great sound and in addition is very easy to carry on. Is a very good price for the quality of the sound. My friends and I, are very happy with this.

Excellent quality at a great price and FAST delivery!!!
Excellent product at a great price and was delivered VERY fast!! Highly recommended as it does not take up a lot of room, but puts out a lot of great sound!

Love it!
I purchased this recently for use on a vacation and love it. The earphones, however, hurt after long use, but otherwise it's great!

very good
Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation)
3rd Generation Apple iPod meets my expectations by providing a lot of features in a very small package at a reasonable cost.

I-pod Nano
The perfect gift. It is practical, stylish, has all the features you would need in a music player and more.

good thing to buy one of those
I like it because you can put a lot of songs on it and it is very small and good to handle. Good quality and simple to work with.

great deal at a great price
After stupidly losing my other ipod I hesitated before buying another one, concerned about the cost. When I finally did look online for a new one, I found this great deal for a new, fully equipped ipod and I've been enjoying ever since.

Better yet, add them to your Home screen. iPod touch can automatically create a Web Clip on your Home screen from any of your favorite websites. So just one tap takes you directly there.
YouTube
Got a bit of a YouTube addiction? iPod touch feeds it from anywhere with a special YouTube player built right in. Watch featured videos, check out the most viewed, search for something specific, then bookmark your favorites for future reference. It's all the fun of YouTube--pocket-size.
Mail
iPod touch is the first iPod with Mail. And it's the best email you've ever seen on a handheld device. This mail application lets you view rich HTML email with graphics and photos displayed inline, as well as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel attachments.
Maps
Get directions and check traffic with Google Maps. Even find yourself, wherever you are. Mark specific locations, find the best route between them, and search for points of interest along the way. With a hybrid map and satellite view, you can see major street names on top of satellite images.
Widgets
Widgets are small, incredibly handy applications you can use every day. Three of the most useful widgets now live front and center on your Home screen:
![]() Weather Get a five-day weather forecast, including highs and lows, for cities around the world. Save your favorite locations so you can check the weather anytime. | ![]() Notes Take notes, make a to-do list, or jot down a reminder using the easy-to-use touch keypad. Then save or email them. | ![]() Stocks Check your stocks and track the market over one day, one week, one month, three months, six months, one year, or two years. |
High Technology
iPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone, the most advanced software ever engineered, and state-of-the-art technology. With the multi-touch display, you can control everything using only your fingers. If you rotate your iPod touch from portrait to landscape, the accelerometer automatically changes the way the content is displayed. And with wireless technology, you can connect to the Internet from any Wi-Fi network, anywhere you are.
Multi-touch
iPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone. Built to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the multi-touch interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, or zoom in and out on a section of a web page. And iPod touch features a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, getting directions on a map, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts.
Ambient Light Sensor
The iPod touch display has an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness to suit the ambient light in your surroundings. The result? A better experience for you and battery-saving efficiency for iPod touch.
Wireless
Connect to the Internet anywhere there's a Wi-Fi network. Send email from a coffee shop. Surf the web at the airport. Browse, buy, and download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at select Starbucks locations or other wireless hot spots in your area. iPod touch finds wireless networks and connects you to the Internet.
Accelerometer
An accelerometer detects when you rotate iPod touch from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display, so you immediately see the entire width of a web page, your music in Cover Flow, or a photo in its proper aspect ratio.

I never got the download of the iphone software to work so I returned it and got the new latest version. The new version 32GB is a true gem in pocket tools!!!!!

Apple iTouch 32Gb
This is the hottest product ever! There is nothing to compare with the touch user interface in this device.
I only wish it had the 3G phones' capabilities and the capability to view .WMV video files from the web.
Otherwise you absolutely can't go wrong when buying any Apple iTouch it beats the pants off any other music/video player, even better than the classic ipods and the really cool nano's!

apple touch
all my husband's cds have been stored away after i spent 3 weeks uploading music. i am so happy. this product is great. so convenient when on vacation to check e-mail and the sound quality is excellent. bought a bose sound dock and have never looked back. excellent price, shipped early and would highly recommend.

You won't be disappointed!
I recommend this product. I purchased it for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! Most important thing you should know is he isn't good with gadgets and it seems to be a breeze for him to use. Secondly, it is slim and looks really nice. I'd recommend a leather case with availability to the ports to keep it looking that way!

should have chosen the nano
I HATE this iPod! I am frustrated beyond belief. I bought the 16g Touch in april 08 for 9, including the "upgraded software", I see that now it is under 0. I was never able to get the wifi to work, could hardly keep a charge on the battery, then put it down for several months because I was too busy to mess with it or sit down and read the manual. This week I had some time off from work and thought I would get my Touch set up and going. Dang if the screen is now frozen, "slide to unlock" will not respond and I can't even get the stupid thing to turn off. for about 30 seconds I had audio, but then the song started skipping and the stupid thing froze up again. I thought this was "flash drive", I could understand skipping if it was a hard drive. I do not understand what could be wrong, and I don't want to spend another 0 trying to figure it out. I am ready to put it in a drawer, chalk it up to stupidly wanting the latest and greatest from apple, and going back to my little shuffle until I can muster up the courage to purchase another iPod and get the Nano.
VERY DISAPPOINTED, to be sure!

iPod Shuffle
The Apple iPod shuffle that I bought is awesome. The price was about 40$ cheaper buying through Amazon then it was in any of the stores I went into. Plus it keeps all my songs when my computer crashes, which is often. Maybe I will be buying a new computer this way......

Product Quality
I bought this product as a gift for my wife, july 2007. Within 4 months it had to be replaced for a new one, in 5 months it had to be replaced again, in 4 months that last replacement stop working and I was out of the 1 year guarantee (no more replacements) and a very upset wife!

Waste of Money
This tiny Ipod is too small to be of any real use.
There is no display so you are guessing what is playing.
Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Metal (2nd Generation)

Great Experience
Thanks you so much for the orange ipod. My dad will love it....gator fan that he is.....great purchase experience with this vendor!

Great workout partner
I use this iPod shuffle every time I go for a long run or a workout in the gym. One thing I love about this product is that I don't need an arm band to attach it to my body. It comes with a clip that you can simply clip on to your t-shirt or shorts. And the battery seems to last forever.
