Customer Reviews

iTalk Pro a huge disappointment
I had an older model iTalk with my old iPod, which worked great! When I had to replace my iPod with a newer model, I immediately ordered a new iTalk Pro. What a disappointment! The recordings are full of pops and hisses, unlike my old one, which recorded as clear as a bell. These are virtually unusable recordings unless you have very sophisticated audio cleaning software, and even then they are barely passable to listen to. This device was a total waste of money, unfortunately. Maybe I just got a bad one, but it is of exceedingly poor quality.

For the money, this little guy works A-OK
I use this to record basic lyrics/melodies on the piano so I won't forget them. I've noticed the microphone is very sensitive and if the pitch changes there is a small electronic pulse (seemingly the microphone adjusting to the pitch?). Guess you can't expect expert recording :) But the sound is very clear otherwise, and it serves the purpose I need it to--very easy to use, clear recording, small enough to carry around with me everywhere. And for the money, it just can't be beat. I researched a lot of reviews on these little iPod recording things before deciding on this one, and all the reviews seemed to point this way.

iTalk is great
The Griffith iTalk Pro is super. It's a plug and go sort of thing, and I used correctly and successfully the first time I tried. The sound quality was amazing, really beyond what I expected. It worked perfectly inside my breast pocket with the default settings that came when it arrived, no adjustment needed. I have used it every day through a fifteen-week school term and it needs a charge about 1 hour after giving a two-hour lecture. I would buy this for twice what I paid and feel good about it. Compared to other types of mics, this one is the easiest to use, least expensive, and delivers great sound quality.

Works
For basic audio notes or low quality live music recording it works fine. It doesn't fully engage for proper operation when using a Nano in a protective case.

Worked great!
Great product and great service. Product was new in box as advertised. I was able to make recordings right away. Used it to record a meeting in a large room (20-30 people present) and was able to get good quality for not taking purposes. Would do business again with this seller and I recommend this product.
